Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how the developer of Fantarise (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Fantarise mobile application (the “App”). It applies wherever you use the App, and it is written to meet the requirements of privacy laws around the world, including the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and Brazil's LGPD. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide
The App does not require you to create an account. If you contact us for support, send feedback, or respond to a survey, we receive the information you choose to share, such as your email address and the contents of your message.
Information collected automatically
- Device information: device model, operating system and version, screen size, language, and country or approximate region derived from your IP address.
- Device and advertising identifiers, such as the Google Advertising ID (Android) or IDFA/IDFV (iOS).
- Gameplay and usage data: game progress, sessions, features used, in-game events, and interactions with in-game content.
- Diagnostics: crash logs and performance data used to keep the App stable.
Purchase information
In-app purchases are processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive confirmation of a purchase, the product identifier, and a transaction record so we can deliver the purchased content. We never receive or store your payment card number or full billing details.
3. How We Use Information
- To operate the App, save your progress, and deliver purchased content.
- To provide player support and respond to your requests.
- To measure how the App is used and improve gameplay, balance, and performance.
- To detect, prevent, and address bugs, fraud, cheating, and abuse.
- To show advertising, including — only where you have consented where consent is required — personalized advertising.
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we process personal data on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract — operating the App and delivering purchases you make.
- Legitimate interests — analytics, security, fraud prevention, and improving the App.
- Consent — personalized advertising and any other processing that requires it. You may withdraw consent at any time through the App's settings or your device settings.
- Legal obligation — where processing is required to comply with applicable law.
5. Advertising
The App is free to play and supported by advertising. Ads are delivered by third-party advertising networks, which may collect your advertising identifier, IP address, coarse location (such as country), and information about the ads you see and interact with, in order to serve ads, measure their performance, and prevent fraud. Where you have given consent, these partners may also use this information to personalize the ads you see. Our advertising partners may include:
Where required by law (for example in the EEA and UK), the App will ask for your consent before showing personalized ads, and you can change your choice at any time in the App's settings. You can also limit ad personalization at the device level: on iOS through Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and on Android through Settings → Google → Ads, where you can reset or delete your advertising ID.
6. Analytics
We use third-party analytics and crash-reporting services, such as Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics, to understand how the App is used and to diagnose technical problems. These services process device information, identifiers, and usage events on our behalf.
7. How We Share Information
- With service providers that host, analyze, or support the App (including the analytics and advertising partners listed above), under agreements that limit how they may use the data.
- When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of players, the public, or us.
- As part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your data.
- In aggregated or anonymized form that cannot reasonably identify you.
We do not sell personal information for money. Sharing advertising identifiers with ad networks may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under some US state laws; you can opt out as described in Sections 5 and 9.
8. Data Retention
We keep personal data only as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy. Gameplay and analytics data associated with your device is deleted or anonymized no later than 36 months after your last interaction with the App, unless a longer period is required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements. Crash logs are retained for shorter periods.
9. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it.
- Correct inaccurate data or have incomplete data completed.
- Request deletion of your personal data.
- Restrict or object to certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interests.
- Receive your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that happened before withdrawal.
- Opt out of “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under applicable US state laws, without being discriminated against for doing so.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 14. We may need to verify your identity or your device (for example, by asking for your advertising identifier) before acting on a request, and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
10. International Transfers
Your information may be processed on servers located outside your country, including in the United States and the European Economic Area. Where data is transferred out of the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on safeguards such as adequacy decisions, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, or Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
11. Children
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the higher minimum age required in your country, such as 16 in parts of the European Economic Area), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it. Where the App is available to younger audiences, ads are served in a non-personalized form as required by applicable law and store policies.
12. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal data against loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date, and material changes may also be announced in the App. Continued use of the App after an update means the updated policy applies.
